In Kadıköy market, their cash already
mingled, somebody fished for cash
and handed a small few to the grocery store; the opposite
inspected the apricots and stored the one
much less stunning. Every revealed, at their fingertips,
a pink moon. The firmament tasted like
an insatiable kiss. They held one another’s fingers—
soiled from cash, sticky with juice.
