‘Will see sooner or later’: Karnataka minister on revoking hijab ban

The Congress-led Karnataka authorities on Wednesday has stated that it’s going to look into the request made by Amnesty India to revoke the ban on hijab within the academic establishments within the state.

Amnesty India, in a collection of tweets, requested the newly-formed Karnataka authorities to take three actions on precedence, together with the rapid revoking of the ban on ladies sporting hijabs in academic establishments.

“We are going to see in future what greatest we will do. Proper now, we now have to fulfil the 5 ensures we made to the individuals of Karnataka,” Karnataka minister and senior Congress chief G Parameshwara was quoted as saying by information company ANI.

The hijab row began in Karnataka after the BJP-led authorities issued an order that said-Uniforms had been obligatory in faculties and schools and no exceptions may very well be made for the sporting of the hijab.
