India launched its formidable Chandrayaan-3 mission to the Moon efficiently. The spacecraft was launched aboard India’s heaviest rocket, Launch automobile Mark-III a.okay.a LVM3, on a journey to the Moon, by the Indian Area Analysis Organisation (ISRO), on Friday. The spacecraft will full the three,84,000 kilometers lengthy journey in almost 45 days to aim a soft-landing on the Moon by August-end.

Successful would make India solely the fourth nation to attain the feat after the USA, China and erstwhile USSR.

Chandrayaan-3 is the third lunar exploration mission within the fourth operational mission (M4) of LVM3 launcher, previously the GSLVMkIII rocket.

The 25.30 hour countdown for the carry off commenced at 1.05 pm on Thursday.

The liftoff of LVM3-M4 rocket, dubbed as ‘Fats boy’ by the house scientists for its skill to hold heavy payloads, occurred at Satish Dhawan Area Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota located about 135 km from Chennai.
